The Emerging Leaders Program

The Arrow Leadership Emerging Leaders Program spans a two-year period and entails four main components:

1. Five-day Residentials

Participants travel to Melbourne for four 5-day interactive residentials led by some of Australia's most capable Christian, business and civic leaders.

Arrow 19 (2017-2018):

  • Program commences April 2017
  • First Residential, 5-9 June 2017
  • Second Residential, 16-20 October 2017
  • Third Residential, 19-23 February 2018
  • Fourth Residential, 3-7 September 2018

Arrow 20 (2017-2019):

  • Program commences September 2017
  • First Residential, 13-17 November 2017
  • Second Residential, 4-8 June 2018
  • Third Residential, 19-23 November 2018
  • Fourth Residential, 29 April–3 May 2019

2. Guided Reading Program

Participants read a range of leadership and evangelism literature and complete some personal development projects. Historic examples of the journal used to aid participants and coaches is available below.

3. Coaching and Guided Reflection

Each month for 18 months, participants will meet with a trained coach to discuss life, and ministry issues, their reading, and progress on a leadership development plan.

4. Peer Group Days

Each cohort is split into peer groups based on their state and they meet at the mid point of each residential. Meetings are from 10am - 4pm and specific dates are locked in once a cohort commences. They are usually:

  • 2 months before the first residential
  • 3 months after the first residential
  • 3 months after the second residential
  • 3 months after the third residential

 Accreditation

Under Graduate

Arrow Leadership partners with Australian College of Ministries (ACOM) to allow Arrow participants to complete six subjects towards a Bachelor of Ministry.

Post Graduate

Arrow Leadership partners with Australian College of Ministries (ACOM) to allow Arrow participants to complete a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Arts (Christian Leadership). With additional study students can attain a Masters of Arts (Christian Leadership).

Arrow Leadership partners with Alphacrucis College to allow Arrow participants to complete two subjects towards a Graduate Certificate in Leadership or Master of Leadership.

Arrow's Distinctives

  • Participants from every state and territory of Australia.

Selection

Participants are selected on the basis of an application process, interviews and referee checks. The program is aimed at men and women who:

  • Are between 25 and 40 years of age at the time of applying for Arrow.
  • Are committed to Christian discipleship.
  • Have demonstrated leadership capacity.
  • Desire more Christ-like leadership.
  • Want to increase their effectiveness
  • Are seeking to clarify their calling and vision.
  • Are open to be challenged both by facilitators, coaches, and peers

Fees and Payment Options for Arrow 19 & Arrow 20

The cost* of the two year Arrow Emerging Leaders Program is:

$9,950 - for completed applications submitted on or before 13 October 2016 (early bird applicant discount)

$10,750 - for completed applications submitted after 13 October 2016

$10,750 - for applicants fully funded by their organisation

*not including the purchase of books, airfares and transfers.

Participants are primarily responsible for the payment of fees (reduced by approved Partnership Fund support where applicable). All successful applicants will be required to personally pay a $750 deposit upon acceptance of the offer.

Outlined below are our payment options for individual applicants (selected when completing the online application). The option chosen has no direct bearing on whether or not an applicant is offered a position in the Program.

 

NO ACCREDITATION

Following payment of the deposit, participants will pay the balance in four quarterly instalments (in the first 12 months of the two year program).

With Partnership Fund subsidy

Following payment of the deposit participants will pay four quarterly payments (in the first 12 months of the two year program). The quarterly payment amount will be equal to ¼ of the balance due less Partnership Fund subsidy. eg. For a participant who submits their completed application on or before 13 October 2016 (thereby accessing the early bird price) and is offered a Partnership Fund subsidy of $2,000, the quarterly instalment will be $1,800. ie. (¼ x $9,950-$750-$2,000).

NOTE

Total Program fees cover:

  • All residential accommodation, meals and tuition
  • All program materials (excluding books purchased for the Guided Reading Program)
  • The Arrow Journal and Guided Reading Program
  • One-on-one coaching with an Arrow-trained coach
  • Leadership assessment tools and follow-up consultation
  • Contact and liaison time with the Arrow Leadership Program Team

The Arrow Leadership Emerging Leaders Program is subsidised by the generous donations of supporters and volunteers.
