Emerging Leaders Program

Why?

Irrespective of leadership context, culture or community, we recognise emerging leaders are facing transition in their leadership assignment. To see them thrive through this transition, Arrow Leadership, through the Emerging Leaders Program, creates transformative experiences that engages, stretches and releases leaders for present and future flourishing.

Who?

Arrow's Emerging Leaders Program is for leaders aged 25 - 40 who are committed to Christian discipleship and who have a deep desire for greater Christ-like leadership.

What?

Arrow's Emerging Leaders Program is designed for emerging Christian leaders who serve in churches, para-church organisations or missional movements. Its focus is engaging, stretching and releasing leaders to make an impact in their communities.

When?

Next Program (2021-2023)*:

  • Program commences March 2021
  • First Residential, 3 – 7 May 2021 (Brisbane)
  • Second Residential, 15 - 19 November 2021 (Melbourne)
  • Third Residential, 15 -19 August 2022 (Melbourne)
  • Program concludes February 2023

*Our 2021 plans for residential experiences are contingent upon the Covid-19 practices of each State and Territory in place at or close to the time of the residentials. We are planning for national gatherings. However, if necessary, we will resort to gatherings in smaller groups should this be required of us. Thank you for your understanding in this regard.

How?

We are excited to announce a renewed and enhanced Emerging Leaders Program, commencing in 2021. The new program incorporates Arrow's well-regarded residential retreats with online learning components, experienced leadership partners, peer groups, reading rooms, personal development projects and much more.

Residential Retreats

Over the course of the Program participants attend three, week long interactive residential retreats filled with experiential learning and dynamic content by some of Australia’s best Christian leaders.

Online Learning

Practical webinars and resources keep you connected and learning from leading specialists on various leadership topics.

Guided Reading Program and Development Projects

Participants read a range of leadership and evangelism literature and complete some personal development projects. Reading Rooms are also available throughout the program.

Leadership Partners

Participants meet regularly with an experienced Leadership Partner to discuss life, and ministry issues, their reading, and progress on a leadership development plan through guided reflection.

Peer Groups

Each cohort is split into peer groups based on their state. These peer groups meet together between each residential and initially at an induction day prior to the first residential. Meetings are 10am - 4pm and specific dates are locked in once a cohort commences. They are usually:

  • 1-2 months before the first residential
  • 3 months after the first residential
  • 3 months after the second residential

Accreditation

Arrow Leadership values the partnership with two of Australia’s leading theological and ministry training providers, Australian College of Ministries (ACOM) and Alphacrucis College, which provides participants pathways to complete formal qualifications in the field of Christian leadership.
