Nathan McElveney

Arrow 8 - Arrow Leader

Nathan is married to Amy, and they have three daughters – Lucy, Zoe & Lara. As well as being involved in various church ministries at Epping Church of Christ, he has been involved in camping ministry since 1998. Nathan has been working for Crusaders since 2004, where he currently serves as the Director of Ministries. In his spare time, he likes to read the newspaper, which he sometimes manages to do within a week of publication, or a good book.

Mark Dean

Arrow 14 - Arrow Leader

Mark is the Worship Pastor at Gateway Baptist Church in Brisbane. He enjoys spending time with his wife Eden, and boys Harrison and Luca. Mark also enjoys watching sport and playing the occasional round of golf.

Julie-anne Laird

Arrow 6 - Arrow Leader

Julie-anne (JA) has worked for the last 20 years as an evangelist for AFES and is now working for City to City Australia, helping Churches and Church plants with their Outreach System! Julie-anne is married to Andrew and has four adult children: Jasmine, Stephanie, Cameron and Bradman. They are quite involved in their local church (All Saints Anglican Church, Greensborough) and Julie-anne works as the Young Adults Pastor there as well. Julie-anne enjoys going bike-riding, watching netflix and catching up with friends.  In 2012, Julie-anne was appointed as Chair of the Australian Lausanne Committee.

Kimberly Smith

Kimberly Smith is a Pastor, Author and Speaker. She is also a lover of travel, eating out and all things people! In her role as Generations and Emerging Leaders Pastor for the Baptist churches of Victoria (BUV), she draws from over 14 years experience as a Generations Pastor in a local Baptist church, seeking to help churches engage generationally in mission and leadership development to see them thrive as true expressions of God's family. Kimberly is a passionate communicator, investing in people and ministries through preaching, blogging, mentoring and leadership development. She is the author of the book “What We Cannot Be Alone” - seeking to bring understanding to Singleness as it pertains to church family.

Andrew Foster

Arrow 19 - Arrow Leader

Andrew is the campus pastor at Broadview Baptist Church, a church in the inner suburban ring in Adelaide, a role he shares with his wife Rachael. Together they are the parents to three amazing children. Originally trained in Architecture, Andrew is passionate about the way churches use their spaces and has had the ongoing privilege to design many churches, community spaces and homes since 2004 alongside ministry. His passions include, neighbourhood ministry, leadership development, community worship, transformation and renewal by the Holy Spirit. His hobbies include motorbike riding, design, exploring and model making.

Edward Vaughan

Arrow 2 - Arrow Leader

Edward is currently the rector of St John’s Anglican Church in Darlinghurst in Sydney, where he started serving in 2011. Ed is married to Jane, and they have three children – Christopher (aka Darcy- don’t ask!), Georgia and Chloe. Darcy is married to Pip, and in 2015 Ed became Grandfather to a gorgeous girl called Frances.
Ed was previously the minister in a church in Dublin, Ireland for six years. He has been involved with Arrow in lots of different roles since he was an Arrow participant himself (in Program 2!). Recently, he has developed an interest in coaching younger leaders, which he does through the City to City network, and also as an Arrow Coach. 
Ed enjoys watching Australia beat other countries at just about any sport, but especially Rugby (sigh). He has taken up playing the piano in the last couple of years. He likes running (slowly), reading (just about anything), and avoiding DIY tasks around the house (very successfully).

Jane Vaughan

Residential Program Director Arrow 22

Jane has been married to Ed fo 36 years and it’s getting hard to remember life before that. They have three great children, a wonderful daughter in law and a delightful granddaughter who’s soon to become a big sister.
Jane loves spending time with younger women both in their church and through an organization she helps lead called Parakaleo which was created to walk alongside women married to church planters but is expanding to include women in other ministries.
Jane often tells people Arrow saved their marriage and has always been enthusiastic about its training and values and is excited to be joining the team.
Jane has recently taken up watercolour painting and loves painting flowers. She likes to read historical fiction, watch Lifestyle TV, cook for friends and garden in their small courtyard, where they have just started growing vegetables! 

Em Seinemeier

Em Seinemeier is the Pastor for Women, Children and Families at Cornerstone Church in Busselton WA. Her heart is for the local church to thrive as a place of purpose, growth, creativity, diversity … and LIFE! She loves: great questions, that ideas are powerful, fantastic coffee and all things leadership. Despite pastoring alongside her husband Nathan, they still love each other, and time spent together with their four great and crazy kids is precious!

Grant Heslop

Arrow 12 - Arrow Leader
State Leader, Queensland / New South Wales Arrow 22

Grant Heslop is on the pastoral team of Padstow Baptist Community Church. He is also the Manager of Community Care, a community ministry of the church. He is married to Wendy and has two children Isaac and Sarah. Grant's passion is to see the church develop and grow leaders that transform their local communities and introduce them to the extravagant love of Jesus. He enjoys developing and supporting staff and volunteers of Community Care as they provide services and support for vulnerable people. Grant also leads teams on short-term mission trips to India to experience ministry alongside the church's mission partners. Grant loves cricket (whether watching or playing), fishing and enjoys anything outdoors with family or friends.

Leanne Hill

Leanne Hill has been involved in next-gen ministry in a local church context for many years. She is passionate about walking alongside people as they discover who they are and who they are to become and her favourite meal of the day is brunch with family. Leanne is a graduate of Tabor College Victoria with a Bachelor of Ministry and Master of Arts. She is married to Andrew, who is also a Pastor, they have three incredible young adult children and two amazing sons-in-law.

Philip Messenger

Arrow 10 - Arrow Leader
State Leader, Victoria Arrow 24

Philip is married to Jenny and together they have three children. Phil is fulfilling God's call on his life as the Ministry Assistant at Box Hill Salvos church. He is most passionate about coaching leaders so they can find longevity and resilience in ministry, relationships and calling. In order to relax, Phil enjoys watching and umpiring Australian Rules, and also watching really bad TV shows.

Anthony Palmieri

Arrow 10 - Arrow Leader

Anthony is married to Siobhan and they have three amazing children; Jenna, Makayla and Josiah. Anthony is the Senior Pastor at Lakeside Baptist Church. Lakeside operates and serves the community through a 4-court multi-purpose recreation centre. More than 7000 people a week use and benefit from the range of sporting programs. Anthony is passionate about seeing people say "yes" to Jesus and together with his team strive to reach the community with the life-changing message of Jesus through sport and relational evangelism.

Roxane Lawler

Arrow 16 - Arrow Leader

Roxane is married to Mark, and they have three children. Roxane works at Gymea Baptist Church in Sydney’s South as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator and her passion is to see people grow and thrive while using their gifts and talents in serving God. She believes disciple-making and evangelism with children, families and young people is one of the best strategic moves a church can make. She loves walking outdoors, laughing and creativity.

Brad Case

Arrow 15 - Arrow Leader
State Leader, Queensland Arrow 24

Brad Case is the Connection Pastor at Gateway Baptist Church in Brisbane and loves to see young emerging leaders cultivate healthy spiritual foundations to flourish in life long ministry. Brad has been a school chaplain, youth & children’s pastor and Qld State Director for Generations ministry, long time SU Qld camps director and has even written a children’s book. He is married to Mercy and together they are always making travel plans. He enjoys all kinds of sport and also music, breaking out his saxophone whenever possible.

Elliot Keane

Arrow 13 - Arrow Leader

Elliot Keane, with his wife Sarah, is Lead Pastor at Richmond Baptist Church in Adelaide, South Australia. They have three children, Aarian, Ronin and Torin. Since 2011 Elliot has led Richmond from almost closing its doors to being a sustainable and vibrant family church in the inner West of Adelaide. Elliot also works with churches across his state in his role as the Leadership Development Facilitator for Baptist Churches of SA. His passions include community engagement, equipping God's people for Kingdom work and pointing people to King Jesus. Elliot's hobbies include hiking, going on adventures with his kids and taking Sarah out on dates.   

Peter Carolane

Arrow 5 - Arrow Leader

Peter is a church planter, musician and academic. In 2002, he founded Mustard, a ministry that empowers students across Victoria to do mission and discipleship in their schools. From 2004- 2012, Peter was leader of the youth and young adults’ ministry at St Hilary's Anglican Church Kew and minister of the student congregation. In 2011 he planted a new family congregation with St Hilary's in North Balwyn. And in 2013, St Hilary's sent Peter out to plant a new church, Merri Creek Anglican, where he is currently the lead minister. One of the factors that led Peter to plant in this urban area, was that this postcode, 3068, has the highest number of people in Australia indicating "no religion" on the most recent Australian Census. Peter originally trained as a classical viola player. But over the past 25 years has produced and recorded albums, and played keyboards in the Melbourne band scene. In 2009 he completed a PhD in Colonial Aboriginal mission history at the University of Melbourne, and occasionally publishes in this field. Peter is married to Jo Knight, and they have two primary school aged sons, Leo and Ezra.

Executive Leaders   

Marg Tognolini

Arrow 6 - Arrow Leader

For the past 29 years Marg has worked in senior leadership positions across 2 Faith Based organisations, SU Queensland and Churches of Christ in Queensland.  Her roles within SU Qld were primarily working with children and young people through school chaplaincy and overseeing holiday camps.  Throughout her time with SU Qld she was a part of the Executive team during a time of rapid growth in school chaplaincy.  Marg then held the role of Chaplaincy Manager for a period of 3 years with CofCQ.  At present, she is currently working as a consultant and coach and her passion is to see leaders grow and develop and influence a deep culture of leadership excellence in organisations. She has her own leadership coaching business and loves to see leaders reach their goals and potential.  Travelling overseas to Italy and Switzerland to be with loved ones, and sitting on the beach at Mooloolaba brings life and refreshment to Marg.  She loves spending time with her large, fun and beautiful family, and with her close friends and simply experiencing and doing life together.

Des Ong

Arrow 7 - Arrow Leader

Des is a Director with The Future Leader Group. He has spent 20 years working in the corporate, education and ministry context, coupled with the not for profit sectors leading teams and developing future-ready leaders and organisations. He is a leadership strategist that focuses on coaching and team dynamics; developing emotionally & culturally intelligent leaders; managing change and designing pathways for healthy organisational culture. Des is on the board of the Baptist Association of NSW and ACT, Morling College Foundation and Chairman of Open Doors Australia. He has completed his Masters with a major thesis on the role of Emotional (EQ) and Cultural Intelligence (CQ) in developing effective leaders. Outside of work he enjoys cycling, watching a good movie and spending time with his family.

Kylie Clark

Education Executive 6 - Arrow Leader
State Leader, South Australia & Western Australia

Kylie is the Principal of Sunrise Christian School, Fullarton, 5 minutes from Adelaide in South Australia, where she has worked for the past 16 years. She is married to Gavin, and has two adult children. Kylie currently leads the Primary team in developing strategies for change in their context. Her passion is seeing young lives being transformed and restored, through genuine bible-based pedagogical practice that actively engages their heart and mind to be in relationship with their creator. Her desire is to provide opportunities for people to realise their own value, and reach their full potential. In her spare time, Kylie enjoys spending time at the beach, being in the outdoors and holidaying with her family and friends.

Martin Conway

Education Executive 4 - Arrow Leader
State Leader, New South Wales

Martin is presently serving as the Director of Students - Years 3 to 6, at Barker College. Martin and wife Joanne enjoy a busy family life with four children Matthew, Jessica, Toby and Sarah. He is excited about the privilege of working in partnership with colleagues to provide high quality education while seeking to communicate in word and deed the gospel of Jesus Christ to students, staff, parents and the wider community. With 20 years working in the independent education sector in Sydney, discovering the value of exploring the inner landscape and the purpose and heart of the teacher, has proved significant for both learning and reflection in recent years. Sharing the rich blessings of life with family and friends brings great joy as does the opportunity to read, surf, ride and run a long way on a bush trail somewhere in Australia.   

Debbie Uy

NFP Executive 2 - Arrow Leader
State Leader, Victoria

Debbie is currently serving as the Union Secretary and Director of Finance and Administration at the Baptist Union of Victoria. She has over 19 years experience in corporate business management and over 8 years experience in executive leadership in the NFP sector, with special focus in combining operational strategy, governance and administrative management expertise. Debbie is passionate about seeing community transformation through empowering individuals. Together with her husband Danny and some like-minded friends, Debbie recently established blesmore, a social enterprise that provides a methodology of bringing the local community to its local church and providing Government Funded training and employment pathways to people facing hardship with the end view of establishing missional communities. She and her husband have two wonderful daughters who are currently finishing their university degrees in the United States. In her spare time, Debbie loves to travel, read and do some gardening.


Tania Watson

Arrow 5 - Arrow Leader
State Leader, Western Australia

Tania joined the Riverview Church team in early 2020 as Executive Minister overseeing Church Community and Operations. Prior to this Tania served as Executive Minister of Churches of Christ in WA for 10 years: a role that involved deep organisational and culture change as the movement reformed itself around the mission of Jesus. In 2018, Tania completed doctoral studies exploring the relationship between the exercise of trust, authority and leadership specifically within Australian culture. Tania is married to Neil and together, they are enjoying a new season of life living in an apartment with a balcony view of Perth that is pretty special.
